Lene Christiansen

Lene Christiansen is a highly experienced scientist currently serving as Chief Scientist at ALK since May 2016, specializing in the development and documentation of API processes, technology scouting, and process scale-up. Lene has a strong background in solid-liquid separation techniques such as Dynamic CrossFlow and Vibrating Membrane Filtration, and has played a key role in cross-site collaborations and scientific communication. Previous experience includes positions as Senior Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist at ALK, focusing on process optimization, technology transfer, and validation. Earlier tenure at Chr. Hansen A/S involved the development and optimization of fermentation processes and collaboration with production plants. Lene holds a Master of Science in Biotechnology from DTU - Technical University of Denmark and a Diploma in French Language and Culture from Université de Tours.
