Mads Hougaard

Mads Hougaard is a seasoned HR professional with extensive experience in strategic human resource management across various organizations. Currently serving as the Head of Strategic HR at ALK since August 2025, Mads oversees Organizational Development initiatives including Performance Management, Leadership Development, and the implementation of the People Strategy. Previously, Mads held the position of Senior HR Director at Ferring Pharmaceuticals, focusing on the People Strategy for Denmark/IPC, and served in multiple senior leadership roles at Lundbeck, where responsibilities included global talent management and organizational development. Mads began the career as a Management Trainee at IKEA and has worked as an HR Consultant and Nordic HR Manager at Michelin. Academic qualifications include a Master of Science in International Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School and studies at the University of Leeds.
