Marius Ducea has a diverse and extensive work experience history. Marius started their career in 2006 as an Operations Engineer at AdMob and later worked as a Site Reliability Engineer at Episodic. From 2009 to 2012, they served as a Senior DevOps Engineer at Promet Solutions, Inc. In 2015, they joined Thumbtack as a Site Reliability Engineer, where they played a key role in the company's migration to AWS and implemented system security measures. Marius then worked at Zillow as an AWS Consultant, contributing to the migration of Trulia to AWS and designing reusable terraform modules. From 2017 to 2020, they worked at Omnyway, Inc. as a Senior DevOps Engineer, overseeing the design and implementation of the company's infrastructure on AWS. In 2020, Marius joined nClouds as the VP of DevOps Practice, and from 2013 to 2021, they founded and led Opscale, LLC, a consultancy focused on infrastructure automation. Most recently, Marius held the position of Director, Site Reliability Engineering at Varo Bank and is currently working in the same role at Alkami Technology. Throughout their career, Marius has demonstrated expertise in various cloud solutions, automation tools, and infrastructure management practices.
Marius Ducea attended Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu from 1994 to 1998. Marius has obtained several certifications including CKA: Certified Kubernetes Administrator from The Linux Foundation in May 2022, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2018, AWS Certified Security - Specialty from AWS in April 2018, and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional from AWS in November 2017.
