Tom Rowton

Tom Rowton has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Tom started their career in 1997 at Yahoo! - Broadcast.com - AudioNet as a Programmer and later became a Developer. During their time at Yahoo!, they worked on various projects involving IE4.0 implementation, Perl automation, ASP, SQL, and Javascript. Tom also served as the interim SQLServer DBA and Team Leader.

After Yahoo!, Tom joined Accenture Technology Solutions in 2003 as a Developer Contractor. Tom was responsible for developing and enhancing the Voyager Incident Management software using ASP.NET and VB.NET. Tom also worked on Perl scripts, batch to real-time interface/glue scripts, and FTPing XML files between Voyager and clients.

In 2005, Tom became the Director of Technology at Principle Data Systems, where they held the position until 2008. Tom then joined OmniSYS, LLC as a Programmer, working there from 2009 to 2012.

From 2013 to 2017, Tom worked at RemitDATA as a Senior Problem Solver. Tom played a crucial role in building a mature and stable Continuous Integration pipeline, automating the Build-Test-Deploy cycle for various environments. Tom integrated team conventions, policies, Git hooks, TeamCity, nUnit/jUnit, and OctopusDeploy to streamline the process. Tom was also responsible for generating compliance documentation for a SoC 2 Type 2 audit.

Since 2018, Tom has been working at Alkami Technology as a Senior SRE II and Release Engineering Quality Lead. More information is not available about their roles at Alkami Technology.

Tom Rowton attended The Art Institutes from 1993 to 1995, where they obtained an Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Animation and Multimedia. Tom also has some education history at Texas Tech University, but no specific degree or field of study is provided.
