Bashar K. has over 18 years of experience in television broadcasting, specializing in transmission operations. Currently serving as a Transmission Controller at ALKASS Sports Channels since November 2011, Bashar K. manages the play out of eight channels and utilizes EVS software and MARINA Pebble Beach automation for material transmission. Previous roles include Transmission Operator at Aljamahirya 2 (ALLIBYA TV) from January 2008 to February 2011 and at Jordan Media City from January 2005 to January 2008, where Bashar K. was responsible for multiple channels and playlist management. Additional training encompasses various technical aspects of broadcasting and automation systems, acquired through experiences with Pebble Beach ingest and TX Automation systems. Bashar K. holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Alzaytoonah Private University.

ALKASS SPORTS CHANNELS was launched in 2006 from Qatar. In its first year, the channel won many viewers with its unmatched coverage of domestic sports, especially football. It also broadcast the 2006 Asian Games held in Doha.
