Anthony Fontana has over two decades of work experience in various leadership and technical roles in laboratory operations. Anthony is currently working as the Laboratory Director at Alkemist Labs, where they oversee daily operations and expansion of laboratory offerings. Prior to this, they served as the Technical Director/Chief Science Officer at ALS Global USA, Corp., managing laboratory activities in environmental, nutraceuticals testing, and plumbing product certification. Anthony also held the position of Technical Director of Chemistry at Silliker, where they managed the Chemistry Department and supported business growth through new services and technology development. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Senior Scientist at Decagon Devices, Inc., providing scientific support and leading a team in new instrument/product development. Anthony's expertise includes mentoring, customer relations, quality assurance, and project management.
Anthony Fontana obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Riverside, where they studied from 1981 to 1985. Anthony then pursued a PhD in Ag & Environ Chem and Food Science at the University of California, Davis, from 1989 to 1994.
