Kiran Nistala

Kiran Nistala currently serves as the Director and Head of Functional Genomics at Alkermes, overseeing a cross-functional R&D team dedicated to developing and validating new target hypotheses through human genetics and functional genomics. Previously, Kiran held the position of Associate Director in Genomic Sciences at GSK, focusing on human genetics strategies for immune-inflammatory target discovery and development. At Regeneron, Kiran progressed from Senior Staff Scientist to Staff Scientist, leading efforts in functional genomics and therapeutic target validation across various disease programs. Kiran's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Systems Therapeutics from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and research fellowships at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital, contributing to efforts in rare disease biology.
