Shakeel Ahmed

Shakeel Ahmed has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Shakeel started their career as a Software Engineer at Tektronix Engineering Development India in 1998 and worked there until 1999. In 2000, they interned as a Software Intern at Software Technologies Group.

In 2001, Shakeel joined Cisco Systems as a Software Engineer, eventually taking on the role of Technical Leader. Shakeel led teams responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering platform software for various Cisco products, including the ASR 1000 Series and the 7600 platform. Shakeel also collaborated with different feature teams and marketing counterparts to ensure products met market needs.

In 2011, they joined Dell as a Sr. Principal Engineer, working there until 2013. Shakeel then moved to Cisco and served as a Sr. Technical Leader until 2018 before joining Alkira as an Engineer.

Shakeel Ahmed pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka, completing their studies from 1994 to 1998. Later, they attended the Illinois Institute of Technology, where they obtained a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from 1999 to 2000.
