Tom Drake is a seasoned finance professional and media expert with extensive experience in personal finance and business analysis. As President of Drake Media since April 2011, Tom manages a portfolio of finance-related websites, including the popular MapleMoney, which Tom founded in 2009 as Canada’s leading personal finance blog. In addition to roles at Get Rich Slowly and Retire Happy, Tom contributes regularly to Canadian MoneySaver and Money Canada, offering insights on financial management. Prior to their media career, Tom held various senior financial analyst positions at Sobeys from 2000 to early 2024, where responsibilities included financial planning, analysis, and reporting across multiple business functions. Tom holds a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from NAIT.
