Isabella Loughland

Synthetic Biology Research Scientist at All G Foods

Isabella Loughland has a diverse work experience. Isabella is currently working as a Synthetic Biologist for All G Foods, a Fellow for Startmate, and a Disability Support Care Worker for Mable. In 2021, they also began their roles in these companies. From 2017 to 2020, they worked at the University of Sydney as a Casual Academic / Demonstrator, Course demonstrator, and Research Assistant. During 2020, they also held a short-term contract as a Senior Laboratory Technician in a private pathology laboratory at FHS. In this role, they were responsible for operating semi-automated ELISA instrumentation, processing biological specimens, patient data entry and information management, and generating patient result reports. Isabella was also trained in all areas of laboratory equipment operation, including specimen preparation, software, inventory, calibration, results, maintenance and troubleshooting.

Isabella Loughland has completed a Master's of Philosophy (Science) from the University of Sydney between 2018 and 2021, with a field of study in Research. Isabella also holds a Bachelor of Science (Advanced) from the University of Sydney, obtained between 2012 and 2016 with a field of study in Zoology/Animal Biology. Isabella has also obtained various certifications, including Standard First Aid, CPR and AED from Australia Wide First Aid RTO: 31961 in 2021, Introduction to Programming Using Python from the University of Michigan via Coursera in 2019, AIDA 2 Freediving Certification from Freediving-Phillipines in 2011, and PADI Open Water Scuba Diver from Dive Centre Manly in 2008.
