Tim Tucey

Bacterial Strain Engineer at All G Foods

Tim Tucey is currently employed as a Bacterial Strain Engineer at All G Foods since 2022. Prior to this, they were a Research Associate at Monash University from 2014-2022, where they led projects on host-microbe interactions involving a fungus of the microbiome, Candida albicans. Tim utilized live cell microscopy, dual host-pathogen RNAseq and immunology assays to monitor C. albicans interaction with primary immune cells, and investigated the impact of nutritional interventions on immune resilience during infection. From 2007-2014, they were a Graduate Student at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. Before this, they were a Research Assistant at Massachusetts General Hospital from 2004-2007.

Tim Tucey obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Cornell University between 2000 and 2004. Tim then went on to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy in Biology from UC San Diego, which they completed in 2013. In May 2021, they obtained a Good Clinical Practice certification from the NIDA Clinical Trials Network.
