Frederieke van Wijk

Frederieke van Wijk is a conservator and policy advisor specializing in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) at Allard Pierson since November 2021, where responsibilities include managing a unique circus collection and conducting research on decolonization of collections. In parallel, Frederieke serves as Chair and board member of Van Loon 100, and works in collection registration for artist Lucassen. Prior experience includes roles as a heritage specialist at various museums, co-founding Modern Gaze, and interning at the Rijksmuseum on colonial terminology. Educational credentials include a Bachelor's degree in Cultural Heritage from Reinwardt Academie and supplementary studies in Religion & Heritage.
