Chief Technical Officer at ALLCOT

Mercedes García is the current Chief Technical Officer at ALLCOT Group. Prior to this, they worked as an environmental and climate change consultant for Novotec Consultores, S.A. from September 2003 to May 2008. In this role, they were responsible for the development and marketing of a CO2 management software in power companies, as well as the technical analysis of CO2 and other commodities trading applications. From October 2007 to September 2018, García worked as a climate change and sustainability auditor for AENOR. In this role, they led a team of validators and verifiers accredited by the UNFCCC, Gold Standard, and VCS for CDM project activities. Mercedes was also responsible for carbon footprint auditing (ISO 14064-1/2, ISO/TS 14067, GHG Protocol, PAS 2050, and PAS 2060), energy management auditing (ISO 50001), and the design of nationally appropriate mitigation actions (NAMAs).

Mercedes García received their Environmental Impact Assessment postgrade from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Mercedes then went on to receive their Quality, Environment and LPR Management System Postgrade from the Instituto de Formación Empresarial. Finally, they received their Pedagogical aptitude master in Biology Teacher Education from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
