Kevin Gurchak has a diverse work experience in the field of environmental compliance and sustainability. Kevin started their career in 1995 as a Senior Environmental Engineer at USAirway, where they were responsible for system-wide air quality, water quality, and stormwater programs. Kevin also conducted environmental audits of facilities and participated in meetings with airports where USAirway operated.
In 2001, Kevin joined the Allegheny County Airport Authority as the Manager of Environmental Compliance. In this role, they oversaw all daily environmental compliance activities at two airports, including air quality, water quality, hazardous waste management, and spill response planning. Kevin also actively participated in various industry-related organizations and councils.
Kevin then served as the Vice President of Sustainability and Natural Resources at the Allegheny County Airport Authority from 2018 to 2019. In this position, they focused on sustainability initiatives and leveraging natural resources for the benefit of the airports and the surrounding communities.
Kevin is currently working at the Allegheny County Airport Authority as the Director of Environmental & Workplace Safety, where they continue to lead in implementing environmental and safety measures for the organization.
Kevin Gurchak began their education in 1980 at PennWest California, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Geology/Earth Science, General. Kevin completed their studies in 1984. In 1988, Kevin attended The Citadel for a brief period, but it is not specified whether they obtained a degree or pursued any specific field of study during this time.
