Ralph Allen

Vice President, Financial Advisor at Allen & Company of Florida

Ralph’s contribution to Allen & Company can be traced back to the high school summers he spent working at his family’s firm. He joined the Allen & Company team as a Financial Advisor Trainee in 1963 after graduating from St. Andrews Presbyterian College.

Ralph became Vice President in 1970 and assumed the role of Chairman of the Board and CEO upon the passing of his father, J. Everett Allen, in 1979. Recognized for his decades of influence and leadership in the business community, Ralph was inducted into the Tampa Bay Business Hall of Fame in 2015. He holds the Series 7, 24, 53 registrations with LPL Financial, and the Series 66 registration with Allen & Company and LPL Financial. Ralph also holds a Life and Variable Annuities insurance license.

Ralph is passionate about Lakeland and has spent years making an impact on his community. He has served as past president, chairman or director of the Lakeland Rotary Club, Salvation Army, Lakeland Regional Medical Center Foundation, the Florida Securities Dealers Association and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority District 7 Business Conduct Committee. He is a former board member of the Lakeland Chamber of Commerce, First Florida Bank, Barnett Banks of Florida, the United Way of Central Florida and the Polk Museum of Art. He is one of the founding members of the GiveWell Community Foundation, and a board member of the Florida Polytechnic University Foundation.

A dedicated family man, Ralph and his wife live in Lakeland and enjoy spending time with their grandchildren. He is a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church where he serves as an elder.
