Donald R. “Butch” Allen Jr. is a second-generation professional surveyor, originally from Mooresville NC. Over his 45 years of surveying Butch has developed an in depth understanding of the surveying process, leadership and the requirements of consultants and developers. As the company’s President, Butch contributes with vision, insight and in depth knowledge of the surveying industry.

Butch is focused on achieving the company’s goal of growing into a diversified, multi-discipline surveying, mapping and geospatial services firm serving the diverse needs of the A/E/C (Architecture, Engineering and Construction) industry and its related sectors and technology specialties. As a Professional Surveyors and Mapper (PSM) in the State of Florida, he has contributed to the growth and development of this competency to uphold its ethical and professional standards.

Having developed a talented and trusted core leadership group, Butch has actively taken on a role of mentoring emerging company leaders, helping them become a part of the vision and guiding the firm towards its next evolutionary stage. As a result, Allen & Company has achieved an exceptional level of efficiency, accountability and communication that translates into measurable performance and client satisfaction.

Under Butch’s leadership, the team continues to research and adapt new technologies into the surveying and mapping process, allowing the development of new service lines such as Subterranean Utility Exploration, Aerial Mapping, 3D Laser Scanning and Modeling/Simulation.

Butch’s experience, insight, and leadership, come together to express his vision for surveying, mapping and geospatial services excellence.
