Oliver Watt-Meyer

Oli is a Machine Learning Scientist on the Climate Modeling team where he works on improving the fidelity of coarse resolution atmospheric models with machine learning. His scientific background is in large-scale atmospheric dynamics and he has recently focused on the connection between the tropical and mid-latitude responses of the atmosphere to global warming. Oli holds a Ph.D. from University of Toronto and was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Washington Department of Atmospheric Sciences before joining Vulcan/AI2. In his free time, he loves the seemingly limitless skiing, climbing and biking opportunities found near Seattle.
