Christopher Throm

Christopher Throm is a seasoned marine professional with extensive experience in education and maritime operations. Currently serving as a Tour Boat Captain at Allen Marine Tours since April 2023, Christopher specializes in wildlife and whale watching. Prior to this role, Christopher spent over 26 years as a Science Instructor at the Marine Science Institute, focusing on teaching ecology and marine safety to children and young adults in an engaging manner. Previous positions include Assistant Manager at Sack Properties, Purchasing Agent/Expediter at De Mattei Construction, and 2nd Mate at Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institution, showcasing a diverse background in both management and maritime duties. Christopher holds a BA in Marine Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and an A.A. in Anthropology from De Anza College.
