Ryan Chen

Ryan Chen is currently an Associate Attorney at Allen Matkins, specializing in Land Use, Environmental, and Natural Resources Law since November 2023. Previously, Ryan worked as a Research Assistant to Professor Richard Frank at the University of California, Davis - School of Law from August 2022 to May 2023, and completed a Summer Associate position at Allen Matkins in May 2022. Other experience includes serving as a Spring Law Clerk at Shute, Mihaly & Weinberger LLP, an intern at the Aoki Water Justice Clinic, and a Summer Law Clerk at the AIDS Legal Referral Panel. Ryan earned a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of California, Davis - School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with minors in Global Studies and Asian Languages-Chinese from UCLA, along with international study experiences at Københavns Universitet and Beijing Normal University.
