Marie Waxel Scott is an accomplished news anchor and reporter with extensive experience in broadcast journalism. Currently serving as the Evening News Anchor at WAAY for Allen Media Broadcasting since September 2021, Marie previously held the Morning News Anchor position from July 2019 to September 2021, where responsibilities included building community relationships and reporting in-depth stories. Prior experience includes roles at Gray Television, where Marie anchored daily newscasts and developed the KSLA Salutes franchise, and positions at Raycom Media and Meredith Corporation focusing on producing and reporting news. Marie's career began as a Media Relations Coordinator at Newberry College, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Newberry College.
