Karyn Brooks

Karyn Brooks is an experienced educator with a focus on special education, particularly for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Since September 2015, Karyn has worked at Allen Park Public Schools as a Middle School Special Education ASD Teacher, implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to address the unique needs of students while promoting academic success and social-emotional development. Prior to this role, Karyn taught as an Elementary Special Education ASD Teacher, developed IEPs for students with mild-moderate autism, and held various teaching positions, including self-contained classroom roles and teaching 6th-grade science. Karyn holds a Master's degree in Special Education with a concentration in Autism Spectrum Disorders from Wayne State University and a Bachelor's degree in Education from Western Michigan University.
