Karen Poleshuck serves as the Founder and CEO of Westley Inc. since January 2022 and has been a Cello Faculty member at Allen-Stevenson School, Silver Music, and Mannes Prep since January and September 2019, respectively. A freelance cellist and private cello teacher in NYC since 2002, Karen previously held the position of Head of the Cello Department at JCC Thurnauer School of Music from October 2012 to June 2020 and worked as a Cello Teacher at Brooklyn-Queens Conservatory of Music from 2013 to June 2017. As a Teaching Artist for Midori and Friends from 2009 to 2014, Karen facilitated group cello classes for middle school students. Additionally, Karen founded and served as Executive Director of Academic Music Seminars from 2008 to 2011, focusing on interdisciplinary music education for elementary students. Educational qualifications include an EdM in Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, an MM in Cello Performance from Purchase College, SUNY, and a BM in Cello Performance from the Cleveland Institute of Music.
