Tara Parsons

Head Of Art Department at Allen-Stevenson School

Tara Parsons has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Tara began their career in 1994 as a Teaching Assistant at Village Community School and went on to work at Allen-Stevenson School as a Woodshop and Art Teacher, Woodshop Coordinator, and later became the Head of the Art Department. In 2004, they worked as an Artist before transitioning to become a Cycling Coach at USA Cycling in 2008. In 2012, Tara joined Team Lipstick as the Head Cycling Coach and also served as the Rapha Women's Ambassador and Vice President of Rider Development at Century Road Club Association in 2015. Additionally, they worked as a Cycling Program coach and coordinator for Women's Development for Tour de Simcha at Chai Lifeline from 2019 to 2020.

Tara Parsons completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art and Environmental Science from Bard College between 1989 and 1994. Following this, they pursued further education at Pratt Institute from 2004 to 2006, earning a Master of Fine Arts degree (MFA) with a focus on New Forms.
