Nicky Friedman is a highly experienced legal professional with a strong focus on community engagement and pro bono services. Currently serving as the Director of Community Engagement and Head of Pro Bono at Allens since July 2005, Nicky leads a program that provides over 40,000 hours of pro bono legal advice annually to more than 500 clients. Additionally, Nicky holds positions as a Non Executive Director at Justice Connect, which offers legal services to low-income and marginalized individuals, and at the Victorian Women's Trust, advocating for women's issues and supporting philanthropic projects. Previous roles include Policy and Research Officer at the Department of Justice in Victoria and the Victorian Law Reform Commission, as well as a Policy and Research Officer at the Victorian Women's Trust. Nicky holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law (Hons) from Monash University and has an educational background from Mount Scopus College.
