Stevan's background includes roles as Press Secretary and Speech Writer for California Lt. Gov. Gray Davis (1994-1996) and for Assemblyman Sal Cannella (1990-1994). Earlier career highlights include working as a Foreign Correspondent and Staff Writer for various publications, including the St Petersburg Times and The Washington Post. Stevan's academic foundation was established at the University of California, Davis, from 1982 to 1984.
