Abigail Simmons

Abby Simmons is the Director of Education and Public Engagement at the Allentown Art Museum of the Lehigh Valley, a position held since September 2017. Prior to this role, Abby gained diverse experience in the arts and museum sectors, including positions as a Curatorial and Exhibitions Intern at the Arlington Arts Center and an Interpretation Intern at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Additional internships include roles at the Museum of History and Holocaust Education, the Zuckerman Museum of Art, and the Euharlee Welcome Center and History Museum. Abby holds a Master of Arts in Art and Museum Studies from Georgetown University and a Certificate in Art and Business from Sotheby's Institute of Art, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Art History, Criticism, and Conservation from Kennesaw State University.
