Jyrki Huotari

Jyrki Huotari is an experienced media professional currently serving as Editor in Chief & Director of Media Content at Aller Media Oy in Finland since December 2023. Previously, Jyrki held various leadership roles at MTV Oy from March 2011 to December 2023, including Head of Business & Development for News and Current Affairs, where strategic development efforts significantly enhanced MTV News Total TV performance across platforms. Jyrki also managed the acquisition and development of news and current affairs content, oversaw the MTV Superdesk's digital content production, and focused on digital news brand development and website traffic growth. Earlier in the career at Iltalehti, Jyrki worked as News Editor, Producer, and Journalist from May 1996 to February 2011, responsible for daily content across multiple departments. Jyrki holds a degree from the University of Helsinki and additional qualifications in technology and management from Edupoli and Alma Akatemia, as well as academic experience from the University of Amsterdam.
