Dave Whyte

Dave Whyte is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Allevar Inc., an IT consulting firm in Toronto with a focus on Financial Services, since January 2021. Previously, Dave served in various senior roles at CIBC from 1987 to December 2018, including Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Corporate Centre Technology, where key initiatives included establishing an enterprise Hadoop environment, leading Agile transformations, and implementing Robotic Process Automation solutions. Other notable positions included leading technology management for CIBC's Credit Cards and Retail Sales initiatives, as well as launching the Presidents Choice Financial Bank. Dave holds a BA in Mathematics from Western University and completed the Institute of Corporate Directors' Not For Profit Governance Essentials program at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management.
