Alba Yanet

Alba Hughes is an experienced professional with a diverse background in education and human resources. Currently serving as a volunteer at Butler Area Public Library since April 2023, Alba also holds the position of Human Resources Specialist and Program Assistant/Receptionist at Alliance for Nonprofit Resources, Inc., since April 2019. Additionally, Alba has volunteered at Dress for Success Pittsburgh since November 2016. With previous roles as an online college professor and ESL college professor at Universidad Tecnológica del Centro, Alba developed curricula and provided tutoring in e-learning environments. As a Special Education Specialist at Ministerio de Education Venezuela, Alba focused on early intervention and developed engaging course plans. Earlier experience includes serving as the Head Coordinator of the State English Program, where Alba designed curricula and facilitated professional development for ESL teachers. Alba holds degrees in Comprehensive Education and Special Education from Instituto Universitario de Pedagogia “Monseñor Arias Blanco” and Colegio Universitario de Psicopedagogía, respectively.
