Kayla Mumtaz is a dedicated professional with a strong background in political science and community service. Currently serving as a Program Support and Training Associate at Alliance For Quality Education and as President of Capital Region Community Resource, Inc., Mumtaz has also taken the initiative to establish Albany Community Closet, a grassroots project providing gently used clothing to underserved areas in Albany. Previous roles include Director of Correspondence for New York State Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, Legislative Intern for Deputy Majority Leader Assemblywoman Michaelle Solages, and various positions focused on social justice and community engagement. Mumtaz holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from the University at Albany and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Administration in Public Policy at the same institution.
