Alliance for Safety and Justice
Andrea Ortíz Pérez, M.A., currently serves as a Grants & Contracts Associate at the Alliance for Safety and Justice, a position held since April 2022. Previously, Andrea worked as a Senior Administrative Assistant at Two Amigos Western & Work Wear, Corp., where responsibilities included managing schedules and clerical tasks. Additionally, experience as a Behavior Therapist was gained through roles at multiple organizations, focusing on one-on-one therapy for clients with developmental delays and utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis techniques. Marketing expertise was developed as a Marketing Specialist at Magnified Media Inc., analyzing trends and enhancing social media presence for various clients. Events coordination skills were demonstrated at San Jose State University, where over 100 events were organized to promote student engagement. Andrea holds a Master of Arts in Chicana & Chicano Studies with a concentration in Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Child & Adolescent Development from San Jose State University.
Alliance for Safety and Justice
Alliance for Safety and Justice (ASJ) is a national advocacy organization that aims to replace ineffective criminal justice policies with what works to keep people safe. We represent diverse crime survivors as well as people living with old records as key public safety stakeholders. ASJ brings our members together with state leaders and coalition partners to win reforms that stop cycles of crime, reduce costly incarceration, advance racial justice and make communities safer. We advance policy to reduce incarceration and we support a range of “shared safety” reforms, including community-based violence prevention, public health, economic mobility, and trauma recovery programs.
