Susan McDermott

Susan McDermott, CFA, serves as the U.S. Strategic Research Director at Mercer since September 2019, where responsibilities include collaborating with global teams to develop intellectual capital focused on client education and investment strategies. Additionally, McDermott holds a board member position at the Alliance for the Great Lakes and has been a partner at Pavilion, a Mercer Practice, since October 2018. Prior experience includes serving as Chief Investment Officer of Institutional Advisory at Pavilion Advisory Group from 1991 to September 2019, and holding various roles in investment and finance at Ennis Knupp & Associates, First National Bank of Chicago, and earlier positions. McDermott holds a Master's degree in Management with a focus on Finance and Marketing from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and a Bachelor's degree in Finance from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
