Brett Eades

Brett Eades currently serves as the Group Energy Manager at Alliance Group Limited since June 2023, focusing on developing and implementing strategies for transitioning manufacturing operations to low-carbon practices. Prior to this role, Brett worked at DETA from March 2016 to June 2023 as a Senior Engineer, specializing in decarbonisation projects for major process heat users in New Zealand, and previously held the title of Energy & Optimisation Engineer. Earlier in Brett's career, from 2012 to 2016, an Electrical Trades Assistant position at Mainline Electrical involved installing electrical and mechanical services. Brett's diverse pre-career experiences between 2004 and 2016 contributed to a broad skill set in various industries before obtaining a Postgraduate Diploma in Energy Studies from the University of Otago in 2014 and completing engineering papers at RMIT University in 2015. A Bachelor's Degree in Science with a focus on Energy Studies was earned from the University of Otago between 2006 and 2013.
