Maria Godley

Maria Godley has a wealth of experience in the medical field, starting as a Medical Scientist at St. Vincent's Hospital from 1994 to 1998. Maria then worked as a Medical Scientist at Beaumont Hospital in 1998. In 1999, they joined Kerry General Hospital as a Medical Scientist until 2006. During their time at Kerry General Hospital, they also served as a Quality Manager for Pathology from 2006 to 2010. Maria then moved to Kerry Health Services as a Quality Manager from 2010 to 2011. Maria then took on various roles within the HSE organization, managing laboratory services as a Laboratory Manager/Chief Medical Scientist from 2011 to 2013 and serving as Operations Manager/Deputy CEO from 2013 to 2016. Maria later became the CEO of a 306 bed acute hospital under HSE from 2016 to 2017. Maria then worked as the Chief Operations Officer at Salaso Health Solutions from September 2017 to March 2018, before taking on their current role as the Regional Director of Operations at Alliance Medical Diagnostic Imaging Ltd from April 2018.

Maria Godley has an extensive education history. In 1982, they completed their secondary education at Balloonagh Secondary School. Maria then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Science with a focus on Haematology & Immunology from Trinity College Dublin, graduating in 1994.

Maria further expanded their knowledge in the field of Haematology, Blood Transfusion, and Clinical Immunology by completing a degree in Biomedical Science at DIT, Kevin Street from 1989 to 1994.

In 2008, Maria obtained a Masters Degree in Haematology/Immunology from Ulster University. Additionally, in the same year, they pursued a short course in healthcare management at the University of Limerick.

Maria also took part in a program in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt at CAMMS in 2014 and 2015 to develop their skills in process improvement techniques.

Most recently, Maria enrolled in the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School from 2020 to 2022, where they completed an Executive MBA with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General.
