Bert Hick is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the liquor, hospitality, and cannabis industries. As the President and Founder of Rising Tide Consultants since 1988, Bert leads a team specializing in licensing services and strategic operational advice. Bert has also been a member of the BC Hospitality Foundation Board of Directors since 2017, focusing on supporting individuals in financial crisis and fostering future industry leaders through scholarships. In addition, Bert has served as Co-Chair for the Night at the Aquarium gala, played a significant role in the Alliance of Beverage Licensees (ABLE BC), and held various leadership positions, including Chair of AIDS Vancouver Island and General Manager of the Liquor Control and Licensing Branch in British Columbia. Bert's educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration from Carleton University and graduate studies in the same field at the University of Victoria.
