Benson Kenduiywo is a Geo-Spatial Data Scientist and East Africa Lead for Climate Security at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT, with a focus on integrating climate security into Kenya's National Climate Change Action Plan. Prior experience includes roles as a Geo-Spatial Data Scientist at the Regional Center for Mapping of Resources for Development, where Benson operationalized the Regional Hydrologic Extremes Assessment Model, and as a Lecturer at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, contributing to postgraduate curriculum development. Additional experience encompasses a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, Davis, with an emphasis on remote sensing training, and consultancy work in remote sensing and surveying. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering, an MSc in Geoinformatics, and a BSc in Geomatic Engineering and Geospatial Information Systems.
