Chris Kettle

Chris Kettle is a seasoned professional in the fields of conservation genetics and molecular ecology, currently serving as Principal Scientist at CGIAR since October 2021. Concurrently, Chris holds the position of Science Domain Leader for Forest Genetic Resources and Restoration at Bioversity International, a role taken on in August 2017. Chris's previous experience includes a significant tenure as Group Leader at ETH Zurich from April 2007 to March 2023. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Conservation Genetics and Molecular Ecology from The University of Edinburgh, obtained between 2001 and 2005, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Ecology from the same institution, earned from 1997 to 2001.
