Carlos Alvarez

Carlos Alvarez is an experienced leader in educational administration and restorative practices, currently serving as President of the Los Angeles Institute For Right Brain Practices & Research since June 2015 and as School Administrator at the Alliance Patti And Peter Neuwirth Leadership Academy since July 2019. Previously, Carlos held the position of Director of Student Discipline and Restorative Practices at Bright Star Schools from August 2012 to May 2024, where notable improvements in suspension and expulsion rates were achieved. Additionally, Carlos was the Executive Director of the Los Angeles Institute for Restorative Practices (LAIRP) from 2017 to April 2024, focusing on grassroots restorative justice initiatives. Carlos is pursuing a PhD in Organizational Psychology at Alliance International University, expected to be completed in August 2026.
