David Reid has extensive work experience in various roles within the pharmaceutical, optical, and outsourcing industries. David started their career as a House Tutor at Sense, where they worked in residential care for individuals with disabilities. David then moved on to Qcom Outsourcing Ltd, where they served as a Sales Executive, focusing on account management and business development. David later joined Bondeye Optical as a Business Development Manager, responsible for diversifying product ranges and streamlining operations.
In 2012, David transitioned to Macuvision Europe Ltd as a Sales & Marketing Manager, where they managed sales, marketing, and brand awareness to expand the company internationally. After two years, they joined Alliance Pharmaceuticals Limited as a Business Manager for MacuShield, where they continued to develop and grow the brand globally through sales management and marketing strategies.
Within Alliance Pharmaceuticals, David experienced career progression and took on the role of Global Marketing Manager in 2016, focusing on strategic brand development and creating products with global equity. In their most recent position with Alliance, David became the Regional Business Director, responsible for managing partnerships and the profit and loss of operations in the Middle East, Africa, and Mainland Europe.
Throughout their career, David has demonstrated expertise in business development, sales and marketing management, strategic brand development, and partner management.
David Reid obtained a Diploma Level 6 in Marketing from CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing in 2017-2018. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports & Materials Science from the University of Birmingham from 2001 to 2004.
