Jim LaMar has over 30 years of work experience, starting their career as a Senior Financial Analyst at Cummins, Inc in 1984. Jim later worked as a Senior Financial Analyst at Hewlett-Packard from 1985 to 1992. In 1992, they became the Chief Financial Officer at Trucks & Parts, where they worked until 2001. From 2001 to 2003, they served as the VP of Finance, IT, and Administration at Richland Investments LLC and Richland Towers LLC. In 2003, they joined Dallas 1 Construction & Development Inc as the Chief Financial Officer, a role they held until 2004. Jim then worked as the Chief Financial Officer/Controller at American Homes LLC/American Land Acquisition LLC from 2005 to 2007. After that, they joined Robert Half Management Resources as a Consultant from 2005 to 2010. In 2007, they became a Sage 300 Construction and Real Estate Software Consultant at Alliance Solutions Group, and later served as their Director of Professional Services starting in 2011. In 2009, they joined Phillips Development & Realty LLC as the Chief Financial Officer, and held the role until 2011.
Jim LaMar completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Accounting from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business and Indiana University Bloomington in the years 1976-1980. Jim then pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Accounting and Finance from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business from 1982-1984.
