Eugene Smit, CFA, has extensive experience in finance and investment management, currently serving as Vice President in the Merger Arbitrage and Equity Factor Teams at AllianceBernstein since November 2010, where responsibilities include systematic merger arbitrage, portfolio management, and equity factor investing for various clients. Prior to this, Eugene held leadership roles at Bridgewater Learning as COO, overseeing e-learning service development, and served as a lecturer at the University of Cape Town.
