Niek Hassink

Niek Hassink is an experienced information manager and solution architect currently working at Alliander since February 2014, specializing in Smart Grids and bridging the gap between business and technology. Prior to this role, Niek served as a System Architect at Liandon, focusing on the development of monitoring and control systems for electricity and gas distribution networks. Niek began a career as a Systems Analyst at Strukton Systems, where the emphasis was on creating monitoring systems for railroad and construction applications. Niek also conducted a master's project at the University of Twente, exploring image and gesture recognition technologies, and completed an internship at Telecats, working on speech recognition systems for emergency call centers. Niek holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science and a minor in Biomedical Technology, both from the University of Twente.
