Remco Kortekaas

Remco Kortekaas is a Senior Data Engineer at Alliander, focusing on transitioning the company's architecture away from SAP HANA. In addition to this role, Remco also works part-time as a Data Engineer for Kresco, enhancing the BI Framework for Brabant Water. As the founder of HIMALAYAN, an online store selling fairtrade hemp backpacks, Remco has combined entrepreneurial spirit with a social mission. A freelance Data/Web Engineer since 2008, Remco has collaborated on various projects, including building a Data Lakehouse Architecture at Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen. With experience as a Software/Data Engineer at ABT B.V. and extensive training through the Smart Data People traineeship, Remco holds a Double Degree Master of Science in Software Services & Architectures from EIT Digital Master School and a Bachelor of Science in Technology Management from the University of Groningen.
