Sander Jansen has extensive experience in the energy and technology sectors, currently serving as the Product Owner for virtual stations at Alliander since November 2010, where contributions are made to LF energy CoMPAS and next-generation substation automation. Previous roles at Alliander include Data Architect for Data and Analytics and IT Asset, focusing on implementing IEC CIM based interfaces and bridging IT and OT from a data perspective. Sander has also worked as an Application Consultant in the IT Taskforce for Energy Transition, improving information flow from OT sensors to IT historians, and as a Technical Trainee with responsibilities spanning three departments to enhance the Dutch electricity and gas grid. Prior experience includes serving as an Open Source Strategy Consultant at Smart Society Services and as a Lean Professional at Smit Transformatoren BV, alongside earlier roles as an Installation Electrician and in student governance. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics from HAN University of Applied Sciences and an MBO in Electronics from Graafschap College.
