Brett Burfeind, P.E. has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of engineering. Brett started their career at URS Corporation as a Construction Engineer from June 1998 to December 2001. Brett then served as a Roadway Design Engineer - Highway Heavy from January 2002 to February 2005.

In 2005, Brett joined Alliant Engineering, Inc. where they held various leadership positions. Brett started as a Project Manager / Transportation from March 2005 to February 2010, followed by a role as a Senior Professional Engineer / Transportation from March 2010 to February 2014. Brett then became an Associate / Director of Transportation Design from March 2014 to February 2017, where they successfully managed notable projects such as TH 169 Unbonded Concrete Overlay Final Design and TH 60 West Gap Final Design.

Brett's expertise and contributions led to their promotion as the Principal / Director of Transportation Design at Alliant Engineering, Inc. from March 2017 to March 2022. During this role, they played a vital role in projects like I-35E MnPASS Design-Build and I-94 Reconstruction Design-Build.
