Joanne J. is a highly experienced actuary currently serving as the Chief Actuary at AllianzDirect since July 2019, where Joanne established the central Corporate Actuarial department and focuses on enhancing technical performance through effective KPIs and processes. Prior to this role, Joanne held multiple positions at Allianz and Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty, including Senior Actuary/Controller and Senior Actuary for Group Actuarial Planning & Controlling, where responsibilities included independent plan assessments and strategic analytics. With a solid background in reserving and analysis from both Allianz and Aspen Insurance Group, as well as consultancy experience at Towers Watson, Joanne demonstrates expertise in multiple lines of insurance and actuarial practices, supported by academic qualifications from prestigious institutions such as Harvard Business School Online and the University of Nottingham.
