Lorenz Meier

Lorenz Meier is a seasoned actuarial professional with extensive experience in pricing and audit roles. Currently serving as a Senior Pricing Actuary at Allianz Direct since May 2018, Lorenz Meier specializes in premium calculation for motor and home insurance, risk modeling, and the implementation of optimization and machine learning algorithms. Prior to this, Lorenz Meier worked as an Internal Auditor at Allianz Deutschland AG, focusing on actuarial topics, including life and health reserving and Solvency II compliance. Earlier experience includes an Actuarial Associate position at ARAG Krankenversicherungs-AG, where responsibilities encompassed calculating health care premiums and developing premium calculation software, and a role as a Working Student at BMW Group. Lorenz Meier holds degrees in Actuarial Science from Deutsche Aktuar-Akademie and Mathematics from the Technical University of Munich, supplemented by an exchange program at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México.
