Alexander Protsenko currently serves as the Head of Strategic Projects and the Head of Group Performance and Steering at Allianz since January 2024. Prior to this, Alexander held the position of CEO at Allianz Hungária Zrt. from July 2019 to January 2024 and served as CEO of Allianz Bulgaria from January 2018 to June 2019. Additionally, Alexander was the Regional CFO for Central Eastern Europe and Senior Vice President, Head of Insurance IV (Growth Markets and Operations) at Allianz Group from September 2011 to December 2017. Earlier in Alexander's career, leadership roles included Head of Internal Consulting (iCON) Europe at Zurich Financial Services from July 2009 to July 2011 and Engagement Manager at McKinsey&Company, Inc. from November 2003 to June 2009. Alexander earned a Master (Diplom) and PhD in Economics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München between 1994 and 2003.
