Dr. Stefan Wirsch

Dr. Stefan Wirsch serves as the Head of Legal Direct Equity Investments at Allianz Capital Partners since September 2018, overseeing all legal and regulatory aspects of direct investments and asset management. With extensive experience in private equity, Dr. Wirsch previously worked at Latham & Watkins from August 2008 to August 2018, specializing in private equity, M&A, corporate restructuring, and advising public and private entities on cross-border transactions. Earlier in their career, Dr. Wirsch practiced law at CMS Hasche Sigle from November 2005 to August 2007. Dr. Wirsch holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Commercial Law from the University of Cambridge and has completed the Zweites Staatsexamen and Erstes Staatsexamen in law at the Oberlandesgericht Karlsruhe and the University of Konstanz, respectively.
