Vernetta Wood-Dunbar

Vernetta currently serves as the Director of Revenue Integrity, responsible for coding and billing compliance, physician coding, integration and RCM coding audits, creating and implementing RCM policies and procedures, and RCM integration of onboarding practices.

In her previous role with ADH, she served as the Coding Manager in which she led the department responsible for coding, charge entry and billing of all patient services. She also served as the lead Medical Coding Instructor for Central Career School where she had the privilege to create and implement the Medical Assistant Program.

Before her experience in Revenue Cycle Management, Vernetta had a career in the field of Pharmacy, where she spent half her time in the field and the other half educating aspiring pharmacy technicians. An educator at heart, she continues to provide training to those wanting to sit for their certification in coding and billing.

Vernetta attended the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science (currently the University of the Sciences of Philadelphia). While there, she had the privilege to be a part of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine’s summer internship program. Vernetta is certified as a medical coder, billing specialist, and electronic health records specialist.
